BEATLE MUSIC THAT COMES FROM BRAZIL

The First Band to Represent the South America at the International Beatleweek

SAID ABOUT US

One Of The Best

Yes, this band from Brazil specializes in Beatle Covers. However, it's not what you expect, for the covers they do are songs that The Beatles wrote but gave away to others ! Their newest cd " Afonso Pena com Abbey Road, is filled with arcane covers like " Lie Dreamers Do ", " You Know What To Do " and " Sour Milk Sea ", all done in Sgt. Pepper's inimitable style. A treat, for sure !

No, this is not your typical Beatle band, for two reasons: 1. Sgt. Pepper’s Band does only songs the Beatles wrote but never released (until the Anthology series, that is). 2. This band puts its own spin on the songs. You’ve never heard “If You’ve Got Trouble” and “I’ll Keep You Satisfied” like this, folks! And they’re from Brazil! And they’re amazing! ’Nuff said!

David Bash - Pure Pop Magazine - 5 April 1999 - Virginia - USA

And last came the highlight of the evening, Sgt. Pepper, with their searing long version of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps." This band is one of the best, and a big glass of Wah-Wah goes to Marcos Gauguin for his Lead Guitarist of the Week award.
