I'm trilled you had such success ! I continue to play your latest album on my show-- It's a great record Alan Haber, Pure Pop Radio Show - 9/01/99 - USA " No, this is not your typical Beatle band, for two reasons: 1. Sgt. Pepper’s Band does only songs the Beatles wrote but never released (until the Anthology series, that is). 2.This band puts its own spin on the songs. You’ve never heard “If You’ve Got Trouble” and “I’ll Keep You Satisfied” like this, folks! And they’re from Brazil! And they’re amazing! ’Nuff said! " David Bash - Pure Pop Magazine - 5 April 1999 - Virginia - USA This is a killer track. George's early composition, You Know What to Do, didn't see the light of day until it was included on Anthololgy 1 back in November of '95. I don't know if the "Quiet One" has heard this version, but I can't help but think he'd be pleased. George fans will especially enjoy the vocals and slide guitar work, and there's even a little something for Beach Boys fans. I don't know what else to say except that I've listened to this track more than Vertical Man and Sir George's In My Life. I give it a 10 out of 10, Five Stars, and Two Thumbs Up. Steve Clifford - Jan/99
Tip Of My Toungue Written by Paul McCartney and added to the Beatles' repertoire in 1962.The group recorded it on 26 November 1962 in the same historical session when they recorded Please Please Me but it was left on the shelf. Launched in England on 30 July 1963, by Tommy Quickly but failed to chart.
When
I want to speak to you When
the skies are not so blue People
say I'm lonely Soon
enough my time will come I'll Keep You Satisfied Third
song from Paul to Billy J. Kramer. It was issued on 1 November 1993 and
reached no. 4 in the charts. The Beatles never recorded this number and
didn't even tape it during their numerous BBC radio session. You
don't need anybody to hold you You
don't need anybody to kiss you You
can always get a simple thing like love anytime So
believe everything that I told you You
can always get a simple thing like love anytime So
believe everything that I told you Give
me love and remember what I told you Step Inside Love Cilla
Black recorded this song. Paul composed this number for Cilla's 1968
television show "Cilla" and recorded an acoustic version of the
number for and it can be found in some bootleg records. Produced by George
Martin, it was issued in Britain on 8 May 1968 and reached no. 8 in the
British charts. Step inside love
let me find you a place You look tired love
let me turn down the light When you leave me
say you'll see me again Sour Milk Sea Written
by George Harrison in February 1968 while The Beatles were in relaxing at
the Mararishi's ashram. For some reason they didn't put the number as a
possible song to recorded by The Beatles but kept it untill he had the
opportunity of recording an old friend, Liverpool singer Jackie Lomax.
George Harrison produced the song and played guitar along Jackie, Eric
Clapton, Ringo and Hick Hopkins.
If
your life's not right doesn't satisfy you Get
out of the sour milk sea If
you want the most of everything you do Get
out of the sour milk sea Looking
for release from limitation Get
out of the sour milk sea Love Of The Loved One
of the earliest of the Paul McCartney compositions. It was also of the
handful of original songs they performed at their Decca Records audition.
Brian Epstein insisted on giving it to his latest signing Cilla Black (
originally Priscilla White ). It was launched in September 1963 but it
wasn't a big hit for her. Each
time I look into your eyes Someday
they'll see that from the start Though
I've said it all before And
I know that from today So
let it rain, what do I care ? Though
I've said it all before And
I know that from today So
let it rain, what do I care ? Like Dreamers Do A
Paul McCartney composition which The Beatles included amongst the thirteen
numbers at their Decca recording audition. The song was later recorded by
the Applejacks who reached no. 7 in the British charts. It was the Paul's
early compositions and was included in the repertoire of the Quarry Men I, I saw a girl in
my dreams You, you come just
one dream ago And I waited for
your kis And I, I, I, I,
I'll be there, yes I will You, you come just
one dream ago I, I saw a girl in
my dreams Hello Little Girl John
was to comment, "This was one of the first songs I ever finished. I
think it was the first song of my own that I attempted to do with the
group". It was recorded by The Fourmost in August 1963, being a hit
during 17 weeks and reached no.9 in chart. The Beatles performed the number
on their Decca and Parlophone recording auditions in 1962. When I see you
everyday I say hello little girl I send the flowers
but you don't care So I hope there'll
come a day when you say When I see you
everyday I say hello little girl It's not the first
time it's happened to me So I hope there'll
come a day when you say It's not the first
time it's happened to me So I hope there'll
come a day when you say In Spite Of All The Danger Written
by Paul and George, it was the first Beatle's song recorded along with Buddy
Holy's That'll Be The Day at a small recording studio in Kensington, 1958.
The group was named The Quarry Men and John Lowe, one of them, kept a copy
of the acetate and in 1981, attempted to see it in at auction. After some
legal problems was ironed out, Paul McCartney bought the acetate. In spite of all the
danger, In spite of all that may be In spite of all the
heartache that you may cause me I'll look after you
like I've never done before In spite of all the
danger in spite of all that may be I'll look after you
like I've never done before In spite of all the
heartache that you may cause me You Know What To Do This
song could have been the second George's composition recorded by The Beatles
and it was unknown untill 1993. It was recorded on 3 June 1964, the same day
that Ringo was submitted to a surgery.
When I see you I
just don't know what to say I watched you
walking by and you looked all alone Just call on me
when you're lonely Understand I'll
stay with you everyday So if want me just
like I need you If You've Got Troubles It
was composed specially for Ringo to record for the Help! album. The Beatles
recorded it on 18 February 1965 in just one take but the number was not
deemed satisfactory. If you've got
troubles You're quite
content to be bad I don't think it's
funny You think I'm soft
in the head You'd better leave
me alone If you've got
troubles You're quite
content to be bad Just 'cause you're
trouble Two Wars It's
an original Sgt. Pepper number which we wish is worthy of being amongst
these Beatles's gems. He can't understand
what's going on there A long way from
there, across the ocean There's more than
you can do Love can do more
than a thousand words There's more than
you can do
